Ingredients:

1. 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2. Salt and pepper, to your liking
3. 1 cup of Pork Panko
4. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
5. 1 teaspoon dried oregano
6. 1 teaspoon dried basil
7. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
8. 2 large eggs, beaten
9. 1 cup of low carb marinara sauce (make sure it doesn’t contain any added sugars)
10. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
11. Optional: A handful of basil leaves for a garnish
12. 2 table spoons of olive oil or avocado oil

Italian Chicken Parmesan

Instructions:

1. Preparation: Preheat your oven to a temperature of 375°F (190°C).

2. Preparing the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, on both sides.

3. Creating the Breading Mixture: In a bowl combine Pork Panko, grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, dried basil, and garlic powder together by mixing them.

4. Egg Wash: Beat the eggs in a dish.

5. Coating the Chicken: Take each chicken breast. Dip it into the beaten eggs making sure both sides are well covered. Next coat the chicken with the Pork Panko mixture by pressing it onto the surface.

6. Cooking: Heat a skillet that can be used in the oven over heat using either olive oil or avocado oil. Once the oil is hot add the chicken breasts. Cook them for 3 4 minutes, on each side until they turn a golden brown color.

7. Adding Sauce and Cheese: Pour some marinara sauce over the chicken breasts in the skillet. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each piece of chicken.

8. Baking: Carefully transfer the skillet to an oven. Bake for around 20 25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and you see that delicious melted and bubbly cheese.

9. Serving: Remove, from the oven. Allow it to cool for a minutes before serving. For a touch you can garnish with basil leaves if desired.
